Haiku Day Competition

The Promoter: The promoter is Serious Brands Ltd (the "Promoter").

Eligibility Criteria: This competition ("Competition") is open to entrants who are (i) aged 18 years or over; (ii) not employees of Serious Brands Ltd.

Entry Mechanic: Entrants will be offered the opportunity to enter the Competition by writing an original haiku, and submitting it via the form provided in the email. The prizewinner will be chosen by an independent judge, from eligible entries received before the Closing Date and this entrant will be contacted via email. Only one entry per person is permitted. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter will be ineligible. The competition begins at 6.00am on 17/04/24 and ends at 11.59pm on 27/04/24. The competition is available to residents of the United Kingdom only.

Terms of Participation: Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in the Competition. The Prize: A Compact Light worth £150.00.

Selection of Prize Winners: The prizewinner will be chosen by an independent judge. The prize winner will be selected after the Closing Date. The prize winner will be notified via email on or before the 3rd of May 2024. The prize winner must be over 18.

Miscellaneous: This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with any social media platform and cannot be held liable for any element of this promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend or amend the Competition or the terms and conditions of the Competition with no liability to any entrant, prizewinner or any third party. The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the advertised Prize become unavailable for any reason or where circumstances dictate. By entering the Competition, entrants acknowledge that they may be required to be used in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include without limitation use of the entrant's name and/or likeness, their written haiku, and any statement made by them concerning the promotion and/or the Prize. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the promoter who may publish or cause to be published any of the entries received. The name of the prizewinner will be posted on a relevant page on the Serious Readers social media. The prizewinner is deemed to have consented to the publication of their name by participating in the Competition. The following terms which are used in the terms and conditions have the following meaning: the term "we" or "us" means the Promoter; "you" "your" or "entrant" means a person who participates in the Competition under the terms and conditions of the Competition; and "prizewinner" means a person who wins a prize under the terms and conditions of the Competition.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction: The Competition and these terms and conditions are governed by UK Law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Competition shall be dealt with exclusively by UK Courts.

Serious Brands will make use of and process the personal data (which includes your name and contact details) you provide in connection with the Competition to the extent and for the time necessary to run this Competition and as set out in the terms and conditions of the Competition.
